Anchors / Chain / Rope
Ovlov Marine provides the complete anchoring system, whether it be anchors, chain or rope, all your needs are catered for.
Anchors: forged CQR range and wide range of sizes and types of galvanised and stainless steel anchors. Such as the more common plough and danforth anchors starting out at 20lb, up to the more specialised super high holding power poole type anchors in excess of 2,000lbs (910kg).

Still a popular choice, the Horizontal windlass is located entirely above deck and features a horizontal drive shaft with the motor located in the waterproof housing. The gypsy and capstan are located to either side of the housing. This design is ideal on a larger foredeck or where below deck space is limited or not available. The windlass can be operated from a foot switch on the foredeck or as an option by remote operation from the cockpit.


AutoAnchor Rodecounters and Windlass Controllers

If you have a windlass on your boat, why don’t you have a chain counter. The AutoAnchor makes it easy to deploy the correct length of anchor rode for the sea and weather conditions. The act of anchoring is made easier, quicker and safer. There is no longer a need to colour code the anchor rode; the guess work is taken out of anchoring as the length of rode released is always known.

From a 60mm (2.36”) panel mount counter to a black box module that integrates with the on board computer, whatever your requirements there will be an AutoAnchor suitable for you.
 
AA150 - Rodecounter
Panel mount rodecounter for DC electric windlasses using all-chain or rope/chain rode. Also suitable for hydraulic or AC powered windlasses using all-chain rode.


Features include:
  Rode length monitoring from the helm.
  Large LCD display with adjustable red backlighting shows length of anchor rode deployed. Display in feet or metres.
  Docking alarm warns skipper when anchor is close to docking.
  Custom rope/chain setting for fitting to any windlass.
 
AA550 - Rodecounter and windlass controller
The AA500 series means that there is no longer a need to leave the helm station to operate the windlass. The “one touch” automatic function deploys and retrieves a pre-set length of anchor rode.


Features include:
  Windlass control and monitoring from the helm.
  Vessel is protected during anchor retrieval by preset windlass stopping point and docking alarm.
  Safety lock protects windlass from accidental deployment.
  Measurements and settings are saved on exit or if the battery fails.
  Straightforward installation and set up with pre-programmed calibrations for rope/chain rodes.
  Console available in black or grey.
 
AA601 - Rodecounter for glass bridge PC or PLC display
The AA601 connects to the on board computer for monitoring of the length of rode deployed through the windlass. While this product has been designed for superyachts with a glass screen, PLC or PC control, the AA601 is also popular with smaller vessels that have a laptop or small controller.


Features include:
  Rode length monitoring from the onboard computer.
  Connection via RS485 serial port or USB direct.
  Custom programmed USB direct adaptor eliminates COM port issues.
  An alarm warns skipper when anchor is close to docking.
  Logs hours of windlass operation for maintenance.
