Ovlov Marine is a locally owned business that helps boat owners keep their vessels reliable, safe, and ready to enjoy.
Originally based on Barry’s Point Road in Takapuna (1978), we’ve operated from Orams Marine Village since 2005.

Ovlov Marine is known for efficient service, accurate diagnosis, and practical problem-solving—recommending a clear plan based on how you use your boat and what you need.

Whether we’re servicing diesel or petrol engines, installing new power, or handling rebuilds, upgrades, and repairs, our goal is the same: thoroughly test every engine and have it running smoothly so you can head out with confidence.

With three Auckland branches—Gulf Harbour, Westhaven, and Pine Harbour—you’re covered when you need engine repairs, servicing and genuine parts.

Our story

Ovlov opens on Barry’s Point Road, supporting Auckland boaties with dependable marine servicing.
Ovlov becomes the Auckland CBD Volvo Penta servicing and sales dealer, led by Peter Jacobs.
Lachlan Trembath joins the company, soon taking a 50% shareholding. Around this time Ovlov relocates from Daldy Street to 142 Beaumont Street in the heart of Orams Marine Village.
Under Lachlan’s leadership, Ovlov expands beyond engines to include Yamaha Marine, Hydraulink hydraulic hoses, TRAC Ecological marine products, Jubilee clips and other quality marine lines—strengthening our ability to tailor solutions.
Ovlov establishes a second branch: Ovlov Marine Pine Harbour Ltd (OMPH), improving service coverage for Hauraki Gulf and eastern harbours.
Peter retires in September. Lachlan and his wife, Leigh, purchase the remaining shareholding in both businesses and continue guiding Ovlov’s growth.
Through the Covid-19 challenges, the Ovlov team pulled together to maintain smooth operations and uphold the service standards our customers rely on.
Ovlov Marine significantly expanded its presence and establishing Ovlov Marine Gulf Harbour. This new branch became an Authorised Yanmar Dealer and an Authorised Yamaha Repower Centre, enabling us to bring our trusted expertise across Volvo Penta, Yanmar, and Yamaha to the Whangaparaoa Peninsula and Hibiscus Coast.
Operating from Orams Marine Village (142 Beaumont Street), Pine Harbour and Gulf Harbour with a fully mobile service fleet, Ovlov continues to evolve - staying current with all the latest technology advances in marine.
