Outboard Workshop Manager

We have an upcoming job vacancy for an outboard workshop manager to run the day-to-day operations of our outboard servicing workshop based in the Orams Drystack at Orams Marine Village, Auckland Central.

As an authorised Yamaha Dealership, our outboard workshop offers a variety of services including:

·        Petrol engine servicing of all makes, (specialising in Yamaha but not limited to).

·        DC electronic installs specialising in Simrad and Garmin.

·        New and used outboard rigging - including the new Helm Master steering system.

Specific details of what is required within the role are:

·        Handling of bookings and schedule works for the team of outboard technicians

·        Follow up on completion of jobs and engage with possible up sells and attention to detail

·        Warranty work and processing

·        Service Reminders & customer service enquiries

·        Implement Yamaha and MAST training for Apprentices

·        Look for potential engine sales engage and work with sales team to completion

·        Booking to works to invoice to collection of outstanding moneys

·        Deal with any client disputes in a pragmatic way with the company at heart

·        Deal with staff roster and day to day

·        Volvo Penta petrol engine works

·        MFD electronics sales, installs and implementation

·        Upskilled in Yamaha training and knowledge

·        Overall management of the workshop, vehicles, forklift, Health & Safety, cleanliness and presentation

·        Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit with no restrictions as well as a clean and full NZ Drivers licence
